I am a big advocate of getting back massages & self-using back massagers to relieve pain. They do work. I even recommend them when you’re not in pain just because they feel good & are relaxing. Overall, getting a massage from a licensed massage therapist and/or using personal electric massagers can certainly provide stress relief, and keep your back muscles limber & functioning optimally. However, if you find yourself in need of massage on a daily, if not weekly, basis to experience pain relief then something is wrong & you have to ask why? Chances are it’s from poor body alignment. Fix your body-alignment first, then use back massages as a supplemental therapy when needed.
