BODY BACK BUDDY CONS:

Versus BODY-ALINE:

As has already been stated, almost any and all forms of massage feel great, do work & can be extremely effective for back muscle relaxation, healing and pain relief. The Body Back Buddy is no exception. Although it provides temporary relief, it generally won’t be enough to fix the root cause of most chronic back, neck & muscle pain. If you don’t treat root cause, along with the massage, then you will need more and more massages as you age because muscles become less and less pliable. The Body Back Buddy also has a definite weakness in that YOU have to apply the massage directly with force, which means your body won’t be completely relaxed while applying the massage. Moving the Body Back Buddy back and forth during the massage, by definition, will increase the tension in your back muscles. Tense back muscles aren’t nearly as easy to loosen compared to relaxed ones, which can inhibit the effectiveness of this product.

Ultimately, the best approach is to address the root cause of most pain. Do this FIRST by realigning your body with the BODY-ALINE. During the realignment process you can rely use massage on an as-needed basis. Overall, the massage provided by the Body Back Buddy is HIGHLY recommended along with the BODY-ALINE. Together, they will loosen and realign your postural muscles to provide permanent lasting back pain relief. A Personal Review of the Body Back Buddy (Trigger Point Therapy Massager) from BODY-ALINE Co-Inventor Jason Bowman…

Admittedly, I’ve never used the Body Back Buddy but I can tell you just from looking at the pictures, with 100% certainty that this product has a major flaw: If you have to hold the massager yourself and then move it around with force to massage your back, you WILL intrinsically tighten most of your back muscles. This increase in muscle tension will minimize the positive effects of the massage because massage works best on relaxed muscles. You’re trying to loosen them, right?

I’m a big fan of massage but you’d be much better off incorporating massage that you don’t have to apply personally, like an electronic hand-held massager, a massaging chair, or a massage therapist. Fix your body-alignment with the BODY-ALINE first and then utilize the Body Back Buddy when necessary, as a supplement to enhance the effects of realignment.
