HUMAN SCALE CHAIR FREEDOM CHAIR CONS:
> Very expensive
> Potentially over-paying for a ‘name’ here
I recently upgraded my computer chair to a fully ergonomic model. I used to slouch terribly in my old chair so I considered the $500+ (yeah I know, not as much as some, but still not too shabby) that I spent on my new chair an investment in my health & posture. When I brought my chair home, I had all the best intentions in mind, I would adjust everything perfectly & begin to sit at my computer properly, according to all the rules. I lasted about 3 hours after that I was back to my old slouching ways.

Ergonomic office chairs, like the Human Scale Freedom Chair, are very effective for enhancing comfort while sitting for long hours. The ergonomic design contours to your back to relieve various pressure points. But what about when you’re not sitting? If the goal of these chairs is to help you maintain good posture while sitting down, wouldn’t it make more sense to buy a product that realigns your posture 24 hours a day – even when not sitting? Well that’s exactly what the BODY-ALINE back strengthening & posture correction exercise machine does. It improves your posture with one simple motion in less than 2 minutes a day. The best approach is to use an ergonomically designed chair when you’re sitting and rely on the BODY-ALINE to correct your posture while you’re standing the rest of the day and then you’ll have perfect posture all the time – and much less back pain. This analysis summarizes why, in our opinion, the BODY-ALINE is a better solution for most chronic back pain, compared to even the best ergonomic office chairs for back pain, as Human Scale chairs are.
A Personal Review of Human Scale Freedom Ergonomic Comfort Chairs from BODY-ALINE Co-Inventor Jason Bowman…
I bought an ergonomic computer chair because I work lots of hours everyday at my computer desk and it helps me to be more comfortable & productive throughout the day. Therefore, I believe in them and they are undoubtedly an important part of the good posture equation. So I highly recommend the dual approach of sitting on an ergonomically designed chair along with using the BODY-ALINE. It’s a terrific combination and will improve anyone’s posture. My suggestion when buying any ergonomic chair is to choose the one that makes you feel the most comfortable and reinforces your best posture. Don’t let a brand name or price be your guide, let the comfort of the chair you’re looking to buy be your guide. In fact, my ergonomic computer chair works well & costs a fraction of a Human Scale Freedom desk chair and I’ve had it for many years, so its durability is not in question. In fact, I’m sitting in it right now…
